Kostel Panny Marie na Náměti (Church of Madonna)
People of Kutná Hora intentionally left one letter from the word „náměstí“ (town square) and named their church as a Church of Madonna on Námětí (place where people were sweeping a lot). Place, where the church stands is actually one of the town´s squares, but years and years ago there had been ore markets and in the evenings people swept the silver dust. As the time passed, they collected nice amount of silver and using it they paid for the church construction. Isn´t it nice? Tower clock are worth seeing – they were much lower in 15th Century. People complained that they couldn´t see them properly from the distance, so clockmaker Jakub Vladyka moved them upwards on the tower, to the today´s position.
